I knew I wanted a destination wedding at Island Resort Athens Riviera but my husband and I live in London and have demanding careers so would need to find someone we trusted to plan our dream day on the ground in Greece. Rena is an exceptionally talented and professional wedding planner and designer. I engaged her services for my wedding in June 2022 on the Greek island of Samos. From the initial review of her portfolio, I knew that her aesthetic aligned really well with mine: elegant & sophisticated; timeless yet modern. Rena immediately understood my vision and delivered it perfectly.
Rena was always easily available via email, text or video call and communication was always open and flowing. She was able to understand my requests without much direction and was amazing at getting the job done without having to involve me too much; she always asked the right amount of follow-up questions, but never overburdened me with the very, very small details. Since Samos is not a well developed island in terms of the wedding industry, all of our furniture & art de la table rentals and FRESH FLOWERS had to be ferried from Athens to the island. Rena arranged all of this successfully; she is well versed in the logistics of destination wedding planning.
She managed all of our vendors and even helped us to receive various quotes from similar vendors as to be sure we were receiving the best possible prices. As my husband and I live in Munich, she regularly had video calls with us while visiting vendors in Athens so we would be able to see all of the offerings live. In addition, some of our other vendors were secured by us prior to hiring Rena and she worked seamlessly with them. She was also exceptionally professional in helping us to work with our venue and was particularly persuasive in areas where they were reluctant. She is very successful at problem resolution and always had a solution for all of my requests.
Rena is a well organized, detail-oriented person with a calming demeanor - all traits that you want in a wedding planner! As I am American, Rena was able to quickly understand American wedding traditions and incorporate them easily. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect - not a single flower was out of place and Rena kept everything on schedule based on the schedule we had developed together. She was also a calming presence throughout the day. My expectations were high, but she certainly exceeded them.
Not only did Rena do the complete planning & design concept for the wedding, she also helped to provide recommendations for all of our guests in Athens and made herself readily available for any of our guests should they need any help during their stay before or after the wedding.

From our first meeting, my husband and I have absolutely LOVED working with Rena. She has listened to every single one of our wants and needs and immediately made them her first priority. We are from California and chose to get married in Greece because of her & all the amazing places she sent us.
We ended up choosing the most magical venue, kinsterna, 100000/10 by the way, and immediately she got to work helping choose the best vendors for us. Our team was again a dream and all of our guests kept complimenting them, the wedding, us, EVERYTHING.
One of my favorite things about her is how she really tries to understand your vision and will absolutely go above and beyond for you to make it nothing like you ever imagined possible. We had a few meetings where the vendors weren’t understanding our vision and she immediately stood up for us and at any sign of bad vibes, she said absolutely not.

We first contacted Rena via wedding wire. We were looking for a wedding planner to help us bring our dreams into reality for an early summer wedding in Paros, Greece. At the time all of the vendors we contacted told us we would need to double or triple our budgets to pull off this event. During our first meeting with Rena she not only told us our budget was adequate, but she also had a network of vendors local to Paros that would help us reduce our overall costs. We asked for references before signing on with Rena and she was happy to oblige. We instantly hit it off, she is so passionate about the work she does and she truly contacts with her clients to make each event special and unique.
All of our communications were done via email, what’s app and through zoom meetings. We live in New York State and planned our entire event sight unseen. Throughout the process Rena would inform us of what critical decisions needed to be made and in what order. She presented us with options and coordinated contact with vendors for one on one meetings. If we were not satisfied with the options she would bring forward more until we found exactly what we wanted. She always had our back during these discussions and in pricing negotiations. She suggested things we did not think of and tried to get us the highest impact for the price paid.
Planning a wedding is difficult and stressful but Rena was always there to calm our concerns and ease the stress. She would always tell us don’t worry it will all be fine. When my mother fell ill shortly before our departure to Greece Rena made it a priority to check on her before and during our time in Paros. We put all of our trust into Rena and her team, and they did not disappoint. In total Rena helped us coordinate a wedding weekend experience for us and our guests, including: our 5 day villa accommodations, welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception, and a day after a private boat ride.
On our wedding day we experienced nothing but the highest levels of perfection. I wouldn’t even know if something went wrong because the team behind Rena coordinated and executed our dream wedding. We saw all of our decisions come to life and the day was effortless and carefree for my husband and I. Exactly what we would want to truly enjoy our special day.
